What is Keratin

Keratin is a type of protein with a high content of sulfur and cystine, an amino acid that makes it durable, elastic and insoluble.

Keratin is the basic protective substance of hair, skin and nails. It is difficult to extract without destroying the cystine or sacrificing its activity.

Nanotec® is a patented process that ensures a gentle and effective method of doing this. Our keratins come from pure wool collected from sheep in New Zealand.

The wool comes from an agricultural region that is guaranteed to be free of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) and other substances linked to various diseases in other parts of the world. Throughout the Nanotec® process no animal is harmed.

How it works

Our unique biopolymer ingredient is essentially a "liquid form of hair" that blends gently with the hair on your head, both inside and outside.

It also gives the hair ingredients that were missing from the start and those lost over time. The smaller keratin molecules penetrate the hair cortex, improving and repairing its quality from within.

Keratin fills the gaps between the cuticle and the hair shaft, and then it is sealed with a high-heat flat iron.

In this way curls are reduced and strength and elasticity are added, while at the same time reinforcement is achieved, as the added weight of the keratin smooths and tames the curls. The larger keratin molecules coat the outside of the hair cuticle and protect it from environmental damage caused by factors such as ultraviolet radiation, smog and other pollutants.
